Cool! by BadDoggie (3.00 / 0) #1 Fri Jul 16, 2004 at 01:00:35 AM EST
Do the Japanese women shag the bejeezus out of the losers, too, or just the winners? Because if they want blood, the losers tend to be in a position to provide a lot more of it. And if that's the case, I think I have a couple vacation ideas...

Open carry of firearms:
When I lived in Cincinnati, I noticed that every bar had a sign saying you had to leave your firearms with the doorman (if any) or barkeeper. "That's a good idea," I thought, and sl

woof.

Before they banned handguns altogether, if you actually had a licence there was nothing illegal about carrying a concealed one.

If somebody caught a glimpse of it, they'd find some excuse to prosecute you though.

Pah! They should have challenged you openly to a duel. After all, there can only be one!

There are even more signs now by lm (3.00 / 0) #8 Fri Jul 16, 2004 at 05:42:36 AM EST
Ohio just passed a conceal carry law. Businesses all over town are sprouting the sign required by the new law to forbid people from packing their heat while running their errands.

What kind of CCW law is that? by ti dave (3.00 / 0) #14 Fri Jul 16, 2004 at 10:51:06 AM EST
Not during errands? Sounds about as useful as tits on a boar hog.

I don't care if people hate my guts; I assume most of them do.

Property owners can forbid the carrying of weapons by lm (6.00 / 1) #15 Fri Jul 16, 2004 at 03:27:48 PM EST
At least on their premises. Property rights win where the right to bear arms and property rights conflict. The law is written so that any property owner can place a prominent sign stating that weapons are forbidden from being carried onto the premises.

Are y'all prohibited from worshipping Satan?

Isn't that part of the EU Human Rights Charter?

Small islands by Rogerborg (5.50 / 2) #7 Fri Jul 16, 2004 at 04:22:14 AM EST
We're talking about communities where up until recently, people would cross the sheep-track to avoid you if you were spotted hanging up your washing on a Sunday.  Especially if, as in this case, you're a White Settler from Englandland.  And especially especially if you're a filthy devil worshipping Jedi.  But it's mostly just the small island thing.

The big deal by lm (3.00 / 0) #9 Fri Jul 16, 2004 at 05:45:24 AM EST
Indictment for sexual abuse for children can wreck a person's career, or even a person's life. To let rumors of Satanic cults that involve the ritual sexual abuse of children drive arrests and indictments has tremendous impacts on the victims of the rumors.
