Well, I just got home from my 20 week scan, the lady said that there wasn't much fluid around the baby, so it was really hard for her to see things clearly, she had trouble locating the kidneys etc, she thinks she saw them though. Am I losing water? I don't think I would know as I have always had a lot of discharge :(
In addition, babies head circumference was lagging by about 10-14 days, which for me is a likely early indication of Dubowitz Syndrome again I guess, cannot say for sure till after the baby is born, but it is the only possible pre-curser for it. My biggest concerns night now, this minute, is the poor fluid and the possibility of a late loss. The geneticists Dylan saw suggested that there was a good possibility that my poor placenta function with Dylan wasn't my bodies doing at all, but his syndrome, so I am now very very worried that I am going to starve this baby with a failing placenta. The possibility of Dubowitz itself? sure it bothers me, but I will cope, after all, Dylan, for all his difficulties is still ok, yes it would be hard going, but isn't life always?
