well, not really, I know thats just a stupid paranoid line, and its more likely that I fly enough thats its just much more likely that things will go wrong!

It sure feels like it sometimes though

Another flight from Vienna to London Stansted, via Dusseldorf.

This time, there was plenty of time between the 2 flights to make my way calmly to the second gate. This however makes one of the problems less forgivable.

Anywho, firstly, I get asked Dylan's age at the start of the second flight (mid taxi-ing to runway) he is 2 and a half, and is sitting on my lap. I am told that he MUST sit on my seat, now normally saying that he won't is enough, and the air hostess simply says so long as he does one or the other, seat belt or held on lap. But NO, this is unacceptable, for some unknown reason, so I point out that he only weighs 9kg, which is more like the weight of a 1 year old, and yes I COULD put him on the seat, but as he slides straight out from the seat belt if he isn't in the mood to sit still, then surely my lap is safer (stupid placebo belts anyway!!) after repeating myself a few times, she says she must ask the captain if he minds. I am 99% sure she didn't as he was speaking on the tannoy at the time, and after that she was strapped in for takeoff as we were at the runway!

Anywho, after that they wouldn't even look me in the eye, they certainly didn't tell me it was gonna be ok for landing, if they have have come back to me I would have explained that since mid feb this year, I have flown 14500 status miles (I don't know the actual miles, airberlin reward with set figures) and no one else questioned me!!

Next problem, my suitcase doesn't arrive in London, it would have been less of a problem if they had left Dylan's in Dusseldorf, as he has some clothes left here at his nannys (my mum) but me, 23 weeks pregnant, I have nothing!! not to worry, its no disaster, I calmly deal with and leave! The suitcase is apparently going to be delivered here by 11am today, I'll post a comment letting you know if it does!

Previous problems include buggy being left in Dusseldorf, connecting flight leaving without me cause I hadn't been checked on properly at Vienna. Not being taken (as is supposed to happen apparently from one gate to the next, which is fine when there is enough time, or if I have the buggy (rare) but when I don't, I am left to go round the whole circuit and find myself stuck in a queue the wrong side of the x ray machines at the same time the plane is boarding!!, not having veggie food for me (I had at one point been told ALL of their flights carry cheese sandwiches and no need to book veggie - this is wrong, the NIKI flights don't, and neither does the PMI to ALI flight, I suspect other very short flights don't either.

Enough moaning from me, maybe one day I'll post a non moaning diary, but as I usually leave those for hubby, thats not too likely :)

Andie
